<p>Judge H Ramu found Naveen, a resident of Nelavagilu village, guilty of murdering Akkamma (75) of Sarakanur village on December 31, 2008, for gain.<br /><br />Naveen forcibly entered Akkamma’s house, strangled her after robbing her of gold jewellery. <br /><br />He then dumped her body in an abandoned well at the farm of Ashwath Narayan, covered it with stones, and fled.<br /><br />Police took up investigation after Akkamma’s son Manjunath lodged a missing complaint with Nandagudi police who arrested Naveen and submitted a charge sheet.<br /></p>
