The distribution will begin at the Nampally Exhibition ground at 10.15 pm on Wednesday.
The 22-member Bathini family will embark on preparing the miracle prasadam that goes into the fish on Wednesday morning. Umamaheswar Goud, youngest of the five Gouds, said: “We have procured the ingredients and preparation will begin here in Doodhbowli.

After the prasadam is prepared we will carry it to the exhibition grounds where our family members will man the counters and begin the non-stop distribution till Thursday night.”
The Bathini brothers are expecting a turnout of at least two to three lakh patients with asthma and lung related problems from all corners of the country to take the ‘miracle medicine’.

‘Not harmful’

Commenting on the issue of  Andhra Balala Hakkula Sangham, a child rights organisation  that  moved the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) to ban the ‘fish medicine’  stating that the medicine may have side effects on children, Bathini Harinath Goud told Deccan Herald that he had not received any such direction from the SHRC. “The medicine is not yet all harmful to children and children who could not swallow the murrel can go for the jaggery mixed version,” the senior Goud added.

The petition alleged that the process of giving the medicine was “unhygienic as the person gives it to lakhs of people without washing hands,”

The Hyderabad district collector had submitted its report to the SHRC.

In view of the distribution programme at the Exhibition Grounds, Nampally, Hyderabad Police has issued regulations, diversions and alternate arrangements to ensure smooth traffic.

Patients coming for the ‘fish medicine’ in buses and other transport should  alight at Bamboo Adda, Malakunta Road, and walk up to the Exhibition Grounds.

Huge pandals covering the distribution area and drinking water tanks have been arranged at the venue for the benefit of the patients coming from far off places.
