As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Kalamandir Foundation motivated an enthusiastic Bangalore crowd to transform eco-friendly thoughts into action plans.
The day started with a walkathon in Jayanagar, furthering the green cause, discussing the need to plant trees and creating a concrete vision of creating a new, green world.

Kalamandir Foundation roped in celebrities to talk about the cause. Kannada actresses Harshika Poonacha, Meghana Gaokar, Nandini, Telugu Film Censor Board member, and CEO of Kalamandir Kalyan Annam participated in the ‘Green Walk’ and  planted plants to prove their commitment.

They motivated customers visiting Kalamandir to pick up saplings and plant them in their neighbourhood. Volunteers at the malls sported funky T-shirts with ‘Ask me a plant’ graffiti to give away plants to customers who wanted it.

This June, the Foundation had played a catalyst in planting 5,000 saplings, directly and indirectly. The Foundation believes in taking up a cause without a pause.
The 5,000 plants growing up to become trees in Bangalore stand testimony to this cause.
