THE PENCIL-TREE’s STORY

One bright sunny morning I woke up. I plucked one of my sharp and leafy twigs and brushed my teeth till they shone. I was about to have some breakfast of soil and sunlight when a nasty old woodcutter came and cut me up! He then marketed me to a pencil making company. There they made me into smaller pieces and added wet gooey clay to me and some jet black lead.

After that they painted me in bright colors like red, yellow, blue and green and carved ‘SUPER PENCIL’ onto me as that was the name of the company. Ofcourse all this was done by some fancy machines. Then they put me into boxes and sold them to some dingy old stationary shop.

The shopkeeper put the box which I was in, in the front window. There I was bought by an evil looking boy. At his house (which was very big) he picked me to write his homework.
He wrote with an untidy handwriting and wrote all the wrong answers. The next day he put me in his fancy pencil box after sharpening me several times for no reason at all.

Later at his school (which was also very big) during a free period he challenged his friend (who looked a lot like a long nosed rat) to a pencil sharpening duel! Lucky old me was picked out of his numerous pencils. He sharpened and sharpened and sharpened. A little later he won and I vanished.
