Man severely injured in jumbo attack

Mallesh was on his way to a coffee plantation where he  works  when he was attacked by the wild elephant and suffered severe spinal injuries, and was also injured on his chest and stomach.

He was admitted to Crawford Government Hospital for first aid and later shifted to a hospital in Hassan for further treatment.

Somu and Guru who were accompanying him managed to escape with minor injuries.
According to sources in the Forest Department, the elephant involved in the attack could be the same that trampled a woman to death on Tuesday.
