'Solve land problems, help farmers'

Staging a protest, keeping forth this demand on Thursday at old taluk office premises, the members said that the land which should actually go to Dalits and the landless but have been taken away by others, must be retrieved. They handed over a memorandum to Tahshildar Veena.

“The little land that was earmarked for the Dalits have gone to rich and the elite. The land belonging to Dalits should go to Dalits in true sense. The officials are not coming forth to acquire the land from the rich and hand it over to the Dalits,” the protesters alleged.

Karnataka Raitha Sangha Taluk President Devarahalli Umesh, Secretary Mullesh and others were present at the protest.
