Pastor Shantaraju of Bethel Church, who has been absconding after his wife Priyalatha registered a police complaint against him, was nabbed while he was in transit, police said.
The 45-year old pastor's wife alleged he had mentally and physically harassed her and had illicit affairs and had exploited minors.
She also claimed that the pastor and some of his family members had threatened her if she dared to speak up against him.
Police had registered charges of harassment and criminal intimidation. The other charges are being investigated.
The pastor, who has filed a divorce petition, had earlier denied the charges and claimed they were only a method adopted by his wife to gain hold of the church property.
