The information department should reach information about development works of the government. It should not indulge in defaming a person or his family, he said.
The department has spent Rs 1.25 crore for the advertisement. Now Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa says the BJP would reimburse the amount. But if it were to be a party advertisement, it should have carried the BJP symbol, not the emblem of the Karnataka government, he said.
