Police said the man walked into the bank at about 2.35 pm, pulled out a revolver and fired in the air.
He threatened the cashier at gunpoint and took away Rs 2.5 lakh.
After the heist, he hijacked a four-wheeler in front of the bank at gunpoint, and drove it towards Chandra Layout, police said.
Ramanagara Deputy Superintendent of Police told Deccan Herald that “the CCTV has captured the action, but there is no way to identify the suspect as he was wearing a helmet.”
Bidadi police have registered a case.
