Cong to protest against increase in BBMP wards

Former mayor of Bangalore P R Ramesh said, his party would lodge a protest with the Governor on the grounds that the decision of increasing the wards is meant to postpone the elections further.

“When already a notification for the delimitation was passed and people were waiting for the final notification on it, the Government is planning to come out with another delimitation of wards. These are nothing but means to postpone the election further. The Government lacks seriousness,” Ramesh said. He said, he would request the Governor not to sign the ordinance because the Government is not keen on holding the BBMP elections.
