The invitations for the programmes had the names of District incharge Minister B Janardhana Reddy, Health Minister B Sriramulu, MP J Shantha and some MLAs from the district. But the name of Yeddyurappa was missing from the invitation.
Sources said that the chief minister was present in all programmes for the distribution of
‘Aasare’ houses in the State so far. Neglecting him this time has led to the programme being put off. The staff of the Chief Minister’s office ordered the postponement of the programmes on Thursday evening, after coming to know that it had been organised without inviting him.
The programme to distribute the houses may now be held on either June 30 or in July, with Yeddyurappa confirming his presence, said sources in the district administration.
