Last Updated 27 June 2011, 20:00 IST

These students had not paid the fee for fifth semester examinations, and had also not appeared for the same examination conducted in October/November 2010.

“They should not have been permitted to appear for the internal assessment. But the colleges have illegally permitted them to appear for internal assessment and have submitted the marks to the University,” said a note from BU Registrar, T R Subramanya.

Under the regulations, candidates who have not paid fees and not appeared for the fifth semester cannot appear for the sixth semester exam.

Counselling concludes

The centralised counselling for admission to 4-year BS (Bachelor of Science) course in Bangalore University and affiliated colleges concluded on Monday. All seats in Bangalore University and affiliated colleges such as National College, KLE College, MLA College, and Kristu Jayanthi College have been filled with 21 seats from the university quota.
