Pillion rider falls victim to killer road hump

The motorcycle rider has been critically wounded

 The deceased Ravesha BS, a resident of Lakshminaryanapura RGI Colony near Prakash Nagar died on the spot with multiple head injuries.

The Kamakshipalya traffic police said, Ravesha and Girish working for a software firm near Whitefield were heading home on a motorcycle.

Ravesh wanted to drop his colleague and around 11.55 pm when they were crossing Jai Muni Rao circle and moving towards MC Circle, near Veeresh theatre Girish riding the bike in full throttle, failed to notice the killer road hump and ran over it.

The duo were thrown up high in the air before crashing into the wall of the adjoining building on the Main Road. Girish was shifted to Sagar hospital and is said to be in serious condition.

Two murders

Two murders reported in the city during the last 24 hours of Monday.

Asma (25) was allegedly strangled to death and her body was found in a drain in Jayanagar 4th Block, 12 Main near Sub-registrar’s office. The police suspect it to be triggered by a rag pickers gang war.

In another case, a 40-year-old man's body with multiple stab injuries was found in an open field in Anjanadri Layout near Rachenahalli. The Sampigehalli police said, they found an auto rickshaw parked few yards from the body. The cops zeroed in on the driver who is now in their custody. A few packets of ganja were found in the deceased person’s pocket.

Burglary

Burglars cut open the rare window grill and decamped with Rs 1.5 lakh worth gold, silver and cash from a house in RR Layout in Mahadevapura on Sunday.

Sethu Abiyan, the complainant has stated he returned from a pilgrimage and found that some miscreants had entered the house by breaking the rare door window grill and made away with the valuables.
