Ketamine worth Rs 2.5 cr seized at BIA

Abdul Latif Mustafa (38), a resident of Trombay, Mumbai, was trapped at the departure immigration office while he was trying to transport Ketamine to Jakarta.

Mustafa had availed a visa at Mumbai. He gave the visa for clearance at a counter of departure immigration office. The immigration officer in-charge grew suspicious and informed the police. Mustafa was to travel to Jakarta in Indonesia by flight-TG-326.
Police checked his luggage and recovered 4.3 kgs of Ketamine.

Mustafa told the police that he had secured the material from one Ayub of Chennai. Ayub had reportedly promised Mustafa that he would pay Rs 15,000 for transporting the ketamine. The material and the accused have been handed over to excise officials for further action.
