B.Sc degree in Animation

Image has signed an MoU with Annamalai University to offer B.Sc Multimedia degree programme. A press release quoted the vice-chancellor of the university, Dr M Ramanathan, as saying that there was a huge demand for creative people in the field of entertainment, advertising, animation, digital media and computer softwares. “To fulfill these job demands, we have partnered with IMAGE and introduced B.Sc in Multimedia from the academic year 2009-10,” he had said.

The curriculum formed by IMAGE has the right mix of theory and practical sessions and focuses more on imparting the skills required by the Industry. The training for the B.Sc Multimedia course will be held at Image learning center. The programme has both a regular mode and a weekend mode of study. The regular mode will have classes from Monday to Friday. The weekend mode is particularly useful for employed Multimedia professionals and also for those employed in other industries but looking for a career shift.

One of the unique features of the degree is that the students who have successfully completed their first year have an option to go for job in areas like Graphic and Web design.
