Postings through counselling

The department, on Wednesday, allotted postings for 648 assistant engineers and 580 junior engineers recruited by Karnataka Public Service Commission. Within four-five days they would get appointment orders.

After inaugurating the counselling Water Resources Minister Basavaraj Bommai said 80 per cent of the candidates would get posting of their choice in the counselling process.

The minister said except the assistant engineers and the junior engineers the rest serving in the department were all deputed from the Public Works Department. They would get promotion and other benefits as per the cadre and recruitment rules of the PWD. There was a need for separate C&R rules for the Water Resource Department, he said.
