Looking ahead with optimism

M S Ramaiah Polytechnic College recently inaugurated its first semester classes

Freshers attended the function along with their parents. The event was graced by the presence of M R Seetharam, vice chairman, Gokula Education Foundation and the director of M S Ramaiah Polytechnic College. S M Acharya, chief executive, was the guest of honour. S Anantha Raj, executive secretary, Vision Group on Science & technology, Government of Karnataka, was the chief guest.

The programme started with an invocation. Principal N S Rama Rao welcomed the gathering and highlighted the activities under way and the proposed infrastructure projects to be implemented.

Anantha Raj stressed on the need for students to be hard working and achieve their skills through hands-on training and become confident in basic principle applications.

He announced that his department would support the polytechnic and help them get financial support for their projects.

Delivering his address, S M Acharya emphasised on the need for students to take up practical work. 

He advised the students to continue working hard with optimism even in case of failures without getting disheartened.

Later, M R Seetharam advised the students to be disciplined and work hard for a better performance.

He assured that the teachers of the institution provide the best instructions and it is up to the students to make best use of the classes.

The toppers of each year were awarded mementos and dignitaries presented the same to them.

The function concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the HOD of Electronics & Communication.
