The 36-year-old, who has coached Goa in the Ranji Trophy and took them to the semifinals of the Plate Division last season, was introduced as the coach of the KPL franchise by team owner S Shivasankarappa at a press conference in Davangere on Sunday.

“I am looking forward to the assignment. I believe there is as much, if not more, talent in the districts as there is in Bangalore. My role will be to try and bring the best out of the team,” said Ganesh, who finished his first-class career with 365 wickets from 104 matches.

Former Karnataka batsman B Siddarama has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Hubli-Dharwad team.

The support staff: CEO: B Siddarama (CEO). PRO: P S Viswanath. Coach: Doddanarasiah Ganesh. Assistant coach: Nagaraj (Davangere). Trainer: Jeet Devaiah. Physiotherapist: Pinakin Aire. Video analyst: Anil Kumar.
