AP cinema fire claims six lives

The incident occurred when a crowd standing in queue near a booking counter at Laxmi theatre in Salur town of Vizianagaram, ‘jostled’ against each other desperately trying to get the tickets for the Telugu film Magadheera starring Chiranjeevi’s son Ramcharan Tejathe, District Superintendent of Police Y Gangadhar said. One of the cinema-goers climbed on the windows of the booking counter to buy a ticket and in the process lost control and caught hold of an electric wire and fell on the crowd along with the live wire, the police said.
