JOIN USGP Secretary accused of misappropriating Rs 2 lakh
The documents available with Deccan Herald, which was obtained under Right to Information by Kalasa Hobli JD(S) General Secretary M B Santhosh shows that Ganesh has misappropriated Rs two lakh. As per the documents, former Secretary Ganesh has used Rs 35,800 amount released for Ashraya housing scheme beneficiaries, for his personal benefit.
He has also misused Rs 1.75 lakh under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Generation Scheme.
In the Gram Sabha held in April Gram Panchayat member M B Santhosh had urged the authorities to take action against Ganesh, following which Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer had written a letter to Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer recommending disciplinary action against Ganesh. But to everyone’s surprise no action has been taken against Ganesh.
At present Ganesh is working as Annigere Gram Panchayat in Kadur taluk.
M B Santhosh and former GP member K N Suresh alleged Gram Panchayat President Bharathraj of not paying attention as to whether Ganesh is depositing money to the Panchayat account in Mudigere or not.
They have demanded to carry out an investigation of all transactions that were done in Kalasa Gram Panchayat when Ganesh was the Secretary.
