New British Deputy High Commissioner

In a press statement, Felton said it was an honour to represent the United Kingdom in Karnataka.

“Just over a year ago, the British Prime Minister began his first official visit to India from Bangalore. Cameron spoke in a packed hall at Infosys about his vision for a stronger, wider, deeper relationship between the UK and India. I am delighted to have this opportunity to make my contribution to such an important initiative for our two countries. Karnataka and its capital, Bangalore, sit at the heart of this,” he said.

 Felton arrives in Bangalore after serving as the British ambassador in the Republic of Guinea in West Africa and previous postings in Cambodia, New York and Brussels.

His experience includes work at the UK Mission to the United Nations in New York and in the FCO’s United Nations Department in London. He is married to Judith Fairbairn.
