Pruthvi sets up Reva win

Electing to field, Reva restricted SDM to 116 in 19.5 overs with Manish and Pruthvi sharing five wickets among them. Chasing 117, Reva made a mess of an easy target, losing the plot midway before clinching victory off the last ball of the match.  Requiring seven runs off 12 balls, the match was there for Reva’s taking but SDM’s Vibin Rai gave away just three runs in the 19th over, and Sreemukha made Abhash Singh and Vikram bat till the final delivery.

Reva’s openers Ashish Patnaik, also skipper of the side, and Sudhamshu scored at a brisk pace, reaching 50 in seven overs.

The Bangalore team were in a spot of bother at 60/3 after ten overs, but a 51-run partnership between Pruthvi (36) and Manish (17) gave them a firm footing.

Sreemukha’s dash of brillance when he pulled of a blinder off his own bowling to dismiss top-scorer Pruthvi brought SDM back into the game, but they could not achieve a favourable result.

Earlier, Reva’s bowlers came up with a tidy effort after electing to field.
SDM started well racing to 21 in the first two overs without losing a wicket.

Openers Nishit Raj and Mahesh Shenoy looked steady during their stay, but Abhash jettisoned Mahesh to apply breaks on scoring.

SDM fumbled thereafter and only Sohan (15) and Tilak (11) managed to touch double digits as Manish (3-18), Pruthvi (2-16) and Rahul Kumar (2-22) ran through their innings.
