Hearing the matter in the allotment of land by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB), Judge N K Sudhindra Rao also directed the issue of a publication of non-bailable warrant against Venkaiah and Jaggaiah of  Indu Developers, who are absconding. Bail applications were also filed on behalf of all the three accused, which will be taken up on September 24.

Both Katta Jagadish and Itasca MD Srinivas were not present in the court during the hearing, but were later produced in court.

Katta Subramanaya Naidu is presently in Victoria Hospital due to health complications.
Handcuff required

Katta Jagadish complained to the court that the jail authorities accompanying him to the City Civil Court complex insisted on him wearing handcuffs. Police personnel said it was the procedure usually followed.

“Do you get everyone you escort in handcuffs? Shall I go outside and check right now?” the judge told the policemen.
