JOIN USWalavalkar, who had jumped to the top spot in the leader board with 125 points, was docked 25 points and pushed to second place on the table. R Deepak remained on pole with 118 points despite a disappointing show in both the races, while Narendran was third with 90 points.
In the 10-lap Race II, K Chetan was promoted to the top while Sandeep Kumar and S Narendran finisihed in second and third respectively on Monday, after Walavalkar’s car failed to conform to technical specifications during the stewards’ scrutiny at the end of the race.
Incidentally, Polo R Cup title contender Vishnu Prasad, who won Race II, was given a 30-second penalty on Sunday for not following safety car procedures. While Prasad dropped to eighth place, Rahil Noorani was adjudged the winner, Angad Singh Matharoo was promoted second and Avdumber Hede to third.
