Ensure victory or give me poison: HDK

While addressing the party workers on Friday, Kumaraswamy said, the workers should ensure the victory of the party candidate K Raju in the by-election.

“I have some health complications. Still I am working hard to build the party. I had never asked for votes when I contested. But today I cannot go to every house seeking blessings for our candidate. If you people don’t co-operate, then why should I strive? If you are not going to work for the victory of the candidate, then it is better to give me some poison,” he said while wiping tears.

Differences are said to have cropped up in the Ramnagaram unit and the party cadres are not working in unison. This has made Kumaraswamy and his father H D Deve Gowda to camp and campaign extensively.

When Kumaraswamy contested the LS election from here, he just visited the constituency twice. But for the byelection, he has already campaigned for six days. His father campaigned in Ramnagaram for five days.
