<p>A 3-judge bench headed by Justice D K Jain did not issue any direction on the plea by Tamil Nadu counsel seeking direction to the tribunal to re-start the proceedings on the guidance and explanation sought on its award.<br /><br />The apex court, posting the matter for February 12, said that it was for the Chief Justice of India to decide whether the matter would be put before the same bench or not.<br />A number of special leave petitions and applications were filed in the apex court and in CWDT for explanation.<br /><br />In July, 2007, CWDT adjourned the hearing in the matter till the disposal of appeals in the apex court.<br /><br />However, Tamil Nadu recently filed an application in the apex court, contending that the pendency of appeal was not an impediment for hearing and disposal of the matter by CWDT.<br />DH News Service</p>
