Setty lands in hospital for eye check-up

He was taken to Karnataka Institute of Diabetology, in the premises of the Jayadeva Hospital, as he complained of problem in his eye sight.

Setty was brought to the institute around 11 am, where he underwent eye check-up, podiatric check (foot care) and also cardiac evaluation at Jayadeva Hospital. Dr K R Narasimha Shetty, director of the institute, said they could not complete his diagnosis since the former minister had not come on an empty stomach.

“We will be conducting a complete diagnosis on him. He will be checked for 16 parameters, including blood test. He is a known diabetic patient, but we will be able to prescribe proper medication only after the tests,” he added.  

Setty was in the institute till 3:15 pm and will be brought there again on Thursday around 9 am, for a complete check-up.   

Hearing today

The High Court has adjourned the hearing of bail application of S N Krishnaiah Setty for Thursday.

Justice B V Pinto, before whom the matter came up, directed the respondents - complainants and the Lokayukta police - to file their objections.
