Hindustani touch

Rajguru Smruti is organising a Hindustani classical music programme, Parampara, on October 23, from 5.30 pm onwards.

Funny: A scene from Heegadre Hege?Kannada play

Kriyative Theatre will present the 98th show of Heegadre Hege? on October 22, 7 pm at Seva Sadan, Malleswaram.

The play, that is based on the writings of T Sunandamma, is scripted by K Y Narayana Swamy and directed by Pramod Shiggaon.

The show strings together a rich narrative with three distinctive settings from the works of the artist.

Revathy will be accompanied by C Cheluvaraju on the mridangam and S Srishailan on the ghatam. 

Odissi treat

The ‘Dance DISCourse’ by Ashish Mohan Khokar will be held on October 22, 6.30 pm at the Alliance Francaise. Suhagt Nalini Das will perform the Pankaj Charan Das style of odissi. Lingaraj Pradhan, Gayatri Ranbir and Meghna Das will present dance pieces composed by Kelucharan Mohapatra, Debaprasad and Mayadhar Raut.

The evening will also feature odissi dancer, Madhulita Mohapatra and her students.
