BMTC to issue feedback forms from tomorrow

Last Updated 21 October 2011, 19:27 IST

Chief Traffic Manager (Operations) M P Prabhudas said: “Our conductors shall distribute the feedback forms to the passengers. This will help us go a long way in understanding what the customers want from us.”

The feeder service is now running on a test basis for 15 days, starting October 20. The BMTC will make changes according to suggestions given by passengers through the feedback forms, discussions among BMTC officials and experts.

Assistant Traffic Manager Sampangirama Gowda said media was raising the debate on the matter. “It is not our regular project, but is based on demand and need of people,” he added.

How much of the feeder service is used in buses starting from the stations also depends upon how many people use the Metro rail.

BMTC also offers passes by the name of Saraag and Saral in collaboration with the BMRCL.
On Thursday, the day of inauguration, only one Saraag card was issued. The BMTC may plan to either reduce frequency or even cut a few feeder routes, if the response continues to be poor.

Of the 60 feeder buses, 10 are mini vans. Prabhudas said: “We are awaiting suggestions from people. If need be, we may take off the regular buses and replace them with more mini vans.” People are requested to email their suggestions related to feeder service from the BMTC to – ctmobmtc@gmail.com
