The State government has already released Rs 3.5 crore. Of which, work worth Rs 2.8 crore has been completed. In the second phase, the Government will release Rs 5.5 crore, he promised. <br /><br />The State government is ready to bear the loss incurred by the arecanut growers and compensation will be paid to the growers. <br /><br />Land Reforms Act<br />The State Government would amend the Karnataka Land Revenue Act to give title deeds to people who had built houses on government land, except on the forest land, and DC manna land. Gowda said that he had got several requests for title deeds for houses built on government land. <br /><br />A sum of Rs 678.77 lakh has been released to develop 23.33 km road in Puttur taluk and Rs 688.08 lakh for developing 20.87 km road. <br /><br /></p>
