Addressing a press meet, he said demanding the autonomous status the CNC will observe Kannada Rajyotsava as black day at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
“Both, the Centre and the State have a responsibility of protecting the interest of the linguist minority community. Reservation should be given to the Kodavas under Article 340 and 342 of Indian Constitution. The government should set up World Kodava University in Kodagu,” he said.
Codava National Day will be observed on November 24 at Gandhi Maidan.
