Such a behaviour is not proper. The meeting assumed significance as the CID had recently filed an FIR pertaining to the UKP project issue. <br /><br />Subsequently, JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda had lambasted Bidari.<br /><br />Allegations<br /><br />The CID has been investigating into the allegations of irregularities in the piece works of UKP awarded in 1996, when Gowda was the chief minister. ‘How can one expect a fair investigation from Bidari? He (Bidari) himself has admitted that Kumaraswamy had sought an appointment with him for a meeting and that they discussed about the UKP case,” the KPCC president said.<br /><br />However, Kumaraswamy denied having discussed about the UKP case with Bidari. “I have not discussed the UKP case with him (Bidari). We will fight the case legally. The media reports that I discussed the UKP case are false," he stated.<br /><br />The JD(S) leader also defended his meeting saying he has every right to meet any official as a Member of Parliament.<br /></p>
