Clash of the sirens

Bipasha Basu and Mallika Sherawat seem to be crossing each other’s paths quite often. If one closely follows the developments in their careers over the last few months, one will notice that they are invariably landing each other’s roles or are  being considered for same ones.

One hears that the makers of the Tamil remake of Dabangg wanted Bips to do Munni Badnaam Hui but ultimately, it was Mallika who grooved to Kalasala (Munni  in Tamil).

Likewise, Afzal Rizvi (brother of  Anusha Rizvi who directed ‘Peepli Live’) had given
Bips a narration of his adventure-thriller ‘Lucky Unlucky’, that is likely to go on the floors soon. Bips, who was for shooting Jodi Breakers in Greece, had apparently liked what she heard but couldn’t get back to Afzal in time.

Meanwhile, Bollywood baddie Sonu Sood, who has turned producer with ‘Lucky Unlucky’, managed a coup of sorts. Sonu  was shooting for the remake of Dabangg in Chennai with Mallika Sherawat when he reportedly asked her to be his leading lady.

Mallika was given a  narration and she fell in love with the script of the film. And it wasn’t long before Sonu and team had signed the Los Angeles based-actress as their heroine.
