Repair works taken up at swimming pool

Deccan Herald had reported about the shoddy work at the pool recently.
As most of the tiles were broken in the tiles, swimmers had lot of inconvenience and a few children had suffered bruises while swimming here.

The residents had complained about the same to the authorities concerned. on Tuesday, repair work on replacing the old tiles was taken up.

“Octagonal tiles are prone to breakage when exposed to sun. We had informed about it but the Sports and Youth Services authorities had directed to use them, hence they were placed,” said a contractor here. “If water is cleared from the pool, we would change the tiles too,” he added.  He complained that the district administration has not paid the amount to contractors even though the pool is open for use.
