The deceased have been identified as Gunda (35), son of Narayanagowda, resident of J Byadarahalli of Channapatna taluk and Puttaramu, son of Siddegowds of Vaddarahalli, Virupakshapura hobli.
They were said to have drowned on Monday evening and the search for bodies were on till Tuesday night. It is said that a group of five persons had come on a trip and when the two got into the water for a swim, were washed away.
