Booty worth Rs 2.13 cr handed over to owners

Gold ornaments worth Rs 1.88 crore, silver worth Rs 9,000, vehicles worth Rs 23.46 lakh, computers worth Rs 30,000 and cell phones worth Rs 30,000 were handed over to their legitimate owners on the occasion. The total cost of all these materials amount to Rs 2.13 crore.

The 11.537 kg gold and Tavera worth Rs 6 lakh recovered by the police in Byndoor station area of Kundapur taluk, the materials worth Rs 69,000 recovered by the Kundapur police in 8 separate incidents, tanker worth Rs 5 lakh recovered in Shankaranarayan police station area, gold worth Rs 45,000 recovered by the Karkala police, gold worth Rs 1.51 lakh recovered by Kaup police, two Lorries worth Rs 4 lakh and gold ornaments worth Rs 10.85 lakh recovered by Kota Police, Tata Indica, Tavera, Maruthi Alto, Bajaj Pulsar, computer, mobile worth 12.87 lakh and gold worth Rs 1.20 lakh recovered by Udupi Town Police, motorbikes Bajaj Pulsar, Honda Activa nabbed by Manipal police were handed over to the possessors on the occasion.

SP Prawin Pawar, Additional SP Kashinath Talakeri, Byndoor Division DySP Viswanath Pandit and others were present.
