The company had posted a net loss of Rs 96.68 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010, Wockhardt said in a filing to BSE.
Consolidated net sales stood at Rs 1,110.63 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 940.07 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Wockhardt USA reported sales growth of 49 per cent with its prime products improving market share in a highly competitive market scenario.
The company’s India business grew by 13.5 per cent in the second quarter this fiscal, capturing a market share of 2.03 per cent as compared to 1.94 per cent last year.
