"In 2009 Congress-led UPA government was formed, by 2010 it became unpopular, and in 2011 it has become infamous due to rising price-rise and corruption... I think government will not complete its tenure and there will a mid-term polls," Swaraj said during the party's 'Jan Swabhiman Yatra' here.

Taking potshots at UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Swaraj said being a woman she should understand problems of the common women, who are facing problems due to price-rise.

"It's unfortunate that our economist Prime Minister only sees growth rate of the country and is not concerned with the problems of the people due to rising inflation. This inflation is due to faulty policies of the government and corruption," Swaraj said, adding the country "feels that his (PM) knowledge of economic is a waste as he is heading the most corrupt government".

On the cash-for-votes scam, Swaraj said those who should be honoured for taking up the matter were sent behind bars and the government made them "villains". "Whom Amar Singh had given money to? In law those who are benefited with corrupt practises are equally culprit," she said.

The BJP leader alleged that whenever an issue is raised, the prime minister "cleverly" puts the responsibility on allies. "When an issue of scam in purchase of aircraft is raised, the finger is pointed towards Praful Patel. Similarly for price rise, he shirks his responsibility to Sharad Pawar," Swaraj said.

Highlighting the plight of people in Uttar Pradesh, she said that "crores of rupees were spent on parks here but not on the welfare of people, who reside here".
On the possibility of BJP's post-poll alliance, Swaraj said she wanted to make it clear that the party was "not going to ally" with any party after elections and it was working on getting "absolute majority".

BJP leader Kalraj Mishra alleged that Mayawati government had institutionalised corruption in its regime. He said while "over Rs 13 thousand crores were spent on construction of memorials and parks, nothing was done for the development of the state".
