Orissa rejects Handique's statement

“As far as I know, there is no such plan of Posco-India to either pull out from the state or change the proposed plant site near Paradip”, chief minister Naveen Patnaik said from Delhi.

The state Steel and Mines minister Raghunath Mohanty told sources, “Posco-India will set up its proposed 12 mtpa steel mill in Orissa.”

Stating that the state government had no information regarding Posco-India’s plan ofpulling out of the state or changing its proposed plant site, Mohanty said the government verified the facts from the company’s CMD Choon K Kwon after the Union minister’s statement.
