Huawei opens GNOC in Bangalore

A GNOC operates multiple networks of different countries in a centralised location. The Huawei India GNOC in the City is spread over 42,000 sqft and has around 500 seats, apart from more than 1,40,000 sites, and covers all kinds of technologies including wireless, wireline, transmission and adjunct, Huawei said. Besides, the centre has full sets of GNOC functions available including Front Office, Back Office, Performance Management, Operations Support and IS/IT.

Addressing reporters at the launch, Huawei India Vice-President (Corporate Affairs) Yao Weimen said, “The Huawei India GNOC will be a major seeding ground for global resource competence development,” adding that the centre would enable the company to make India as a hub for its global operations. Huawei is also contemplating increasing its workforce at the centre to 1,200 in the next three years, Weimen informed.
