Six-year-old boy drowned in water-filled pit

Mohammad Afroz who had left his house last evening to attend the nature's call, might have lost his balance and fell into the pit, they said.

Some kids playing nearby heard his cries for help and raised an alarm, however, Afroz can not be saved, police said.

Shivaji Nagar police have registered a case of accidental death.

Afroz, who was the student of local Islamic seminary, is survived by younger brother and parents.
