<p>Abdul Salim Khan (50) son of late Janaab Abdul Azeez Khan Saheb of B N road in the city had died while asleep on May 27. He was the proprietor of Shaqoor Brothers, a furniture shop at Five Light Circle. He had died of heart attack, according to his wife. <br /><br />However, Salim Khan’s sister Abida Mujeeb, a resident of Bannimantap had lodged a complaint with the police on December 1. In her complaint, she had expressed doubts about her brother’s death claiming that it was a case of unnatural death. <br /><br />Following this, as is the procedure the matter had been referred to the deputy commissioner. The deputy commissioner had directed Tahsildar Manjunatha Swamy to act on the same. On Tuesday, the officer supervised the procedure at the burial ground behind Central Prisons in Mandi Mohalla. Dr Chandrashekar from Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC and RI) conducted an autopsy on the body. Police said they could ascertain the exact cause of death only after the post-mortem report.<br /><br />Valuables recovered<br /><br />City Crime Branch (CCB) police claim to have cracked a case arresting two on Monday. The police have also seized valuables worth Rs 10.5 lakh from them.<br /><br />The accused have been identified as Asif Khan alias Asif, 39 years, mason, Beedi Workers Colony in Mandya and Ajju Pasha alias Ajmin, 40, also a mason, resident of Labour Colony in Mandya district.<br /><br />The two were trying to sell a stolen two-wheeler near Ashoka road west cross when they fell into the police net. When interrogated, the duo revealed they had struck a jewellery shop in Bannur and made away with silver valuables. Besides, they had also lifted three two-wheelers in the city.<br /><br />The police team led by ACP (CCB) Shashikumar consisting of inspectors H T Sunil Kumar and C T Jaykumar apprehended the two, said a release from the office of police commissioner.<br /><br /></p>
