Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas has finally revealed his disappointment after the arrest of his son in a drug dealing case, saying that it has been “devastating”. The Wall Street star and his former wife Diandra said they were “devastated” and “disappointed” after their 30-year-old son was alleged of peddling the drug, crystal methamphetamine, reported a popular daily.

“The family is devastated and very disappointed with Cameron’s recent behaviour. Any family who has dealt with substance abuse knows how devastating it can be,” said a statement from the actor’s spokesperson. Their statement came as Cameron was moved from being under house arrest at a New York City residence to the Metropolitan Correctional Center after allegedly violating the terms of his home detention.

The 64-year-old actor reacted after Cameron’s girlfriend was also arrested for trying to smuggle heroin to Cameron in an electric toothbrush while he was under house arrest. Her arrest prompted authorities to transfer Cameron to the jail, a spokesman for the correction centre confirmed. The It Runs In The Family star and part-time DJ could face ten years in prison or lifetime imprisonment if convicted.
