Paintball Splatter

With DJs Chico and Sasha providing the music, the sprawling grounds of Confident Cascade was all set up to host a Paintball Party with some of Sandalwood’s most popular stars.

It was an evening of fun and entertainment mixed in with some high adventure sporting activity thrown in for good measure.

Paintball games can be played either indoors or outdoors and take various forms which are generally divided between woodsball played in natural, wooded terrain and speedball played on a level, rectangular field covered with inflatable geometric shapes such as 'cans' and three-sided pyramids.

There were special areas cordoned off with nets, and teams consisting of a mix of celebrities and their friends played a series of matches that turned out to be quite exciting.

Many familiar and popular Sandalwood faces were seen interacting with their buddies and enjoying the openness of the venue.

Bhavana Rao sporting an elegant white crocheted dress with her friend Meghana warmly clad in zippered jacket were clearly in no mood to be splattered by paint regardless of protective covering but were there to cheer their friends on.

Ramesh Dembla, Vishal Hegde and Tilak got all togged up in their helmets and suits and took to the arena playing to eliminate each other in a match that lasted 30 minutes.

After a short break it was the turn of Yash and Chiranjeevi to get into the act and shoot paintballs at each other which they did with great enthusiasm.

Unfortunately, the rain played spoilsport dampening the spirit of the crowd who left quite early to avoid the downpour.

“Paintball is a team game during which players eliminate opponents from the opposing team by hitting them with ball containing paint like substance,” said the organisers of the event.

“ It makes for great entertainment and can be tailored to suit any occasion if one is looking to have some sporting activity that is fun and different,” they added .
