Free mathematics workshop for students

Deccan Herald and Prajavani in association with Bishop Cotton Boys High School and ACE Creative Learning is organising a 2-day workshop on Mathematics for the benefit of students of Class 9, 10, 11, PUC who wish to appear for All India Entrance exams like IIT-JEE, on January 7 and 8, 2012.

The coaching will be done by Anand Kumar (of Super 30 fame). Anand Kumar, the Indian mathematician and educational coach has achieved worldwide recognition for his path-breaking work in coaching intelligent students from economically weak backgrounds and getting them into the IITs.

Anand Kumar’s work has been covered in the Discovery Channel, BBC, The New York Times, Time Magazine, Newsweek Magazine, Focus Magazine, Limca Book of Records, etc. Super 30 has received praise from United States President Barrack Obama’s special envoy Rashad Hussain, who termed it the “best” institute in the country.

Through these two days (four-session workshops) Anand Kumar will teach students techniques to solve maths for IIT JEE and other all-India entrance exams. Dr Sridhar, MD of Ace Creative Learning will guide students on how to achieve success in competitive exams. Justice Santhosh Hegde, former Lokayuktha will inaugurate the workshop.

Entry for this workshop is free and seating will be on first-come-first-served basis.
