MIT pays tribute to Dr Bhabha

Delivering the keynote address on “Energy Independence of India - Relevance of Dr Homi J Bhabha” on the occasion, Director of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) Dr Ravi B Grover highlighted the future energy requirement of India and the role of nuclear energy in satisfying this demand.  

Registrar of Manipal University Dr G K Prabhu in his presidential address appreciated the contribution of Dr Homi J Bhabha for the Nuclear Establishment in India. Dr Radhakrishna Aithal, Joint Director, MIT quoted some instances which depicted the personality of Dr Bhabha. Prof K P Rao, a close associate of Dr Bhabha at BARC, narrated many instances of his association with him.

Prof Narayana Karkera, Ex- Scientist from BARC and now working in MIT, also offered tribute to Dr Homi J Bhabha. 

HoD of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engg Dr N Y Sharma, Faculty Advisor of IE (Mechanical) Students Chapter Dr K Jagannath and others were present on the occasion.
