Yet another international icon has set her sights on India. America’s talk show queen, producer, philanthropist Oprah Winfrey is apparently coming here this month.

Speculations are rife about her intent — from promotions of her channel to attending the Jaipur Literature Festival, but Oprah’s main reason, in her own words on a social networking site, is “to shoot Deepak Chopra there (India) for the ‘Next Chapter’ (sic).”

Her comeback show premiered on January 1 with rocker Steven Tyler this year, and has her meeting celebrities, newsmakers, leaders and common people outside the studio. She doesn’t hide her excitement on coming to India.

“Never been to India, it’s been on my vision board forever,” she wrote, while revealing her plans to film friend, doctor-turned-spiritual guru Deepak Chopra for her show. The news, however, went viral when Chopra tweeted, “V happy about Oprah @OprahWinfreyNet joining me in India in 2 weeks (sic).”

While fans of the talk show queen are looking forward to the visit, film-maker Shekhar Kapur tweeted — “@DeepakChopra Coming to India bit. Let’s hope in ur presence Oprah meets common ppl in india 2, Lady Gaga did not (sic).”
