MCD razes properties

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi took action against 14 unauthorised properties in two zones of Delhi on Saturday. Eight sites were sealed, while six were demolished.

All the sealed sites fall in Najafgarh zone. Two sites were also demolished in Najafgarh and an additional four were demolished in the Civil Lines zone.

The demolition and sealing exercise was undertaken by the Building Department with the help of the local police.

One of the demolished site and other sealed properties in Najafgarh are close to Mahavir Enclave. Another demolished site, where the side walls were broken, is in Palam, on Dabri Road.

In Civil Lines, the fourth floor and the ground floor of two properties and ground floor of another property at Old Sabzi Mandi were also demolished.
