After a long hiatus, former beauty queen Diana Hayden is all set to make a comeback in Hindi films with an untitled supernatural thriller.

The former Miss World tells Metrolife in her recent visit to the City that she was looking for the right kind of script to sign her next project.

Starring Karan Singh Grover, the supernatural story is based on a true incident and has been a real challenge for Diana. “I have never seen myself as a mainstream Bollywood heroine. Though I love watching all the naach gaana on screen, I definitely can’t do the same. That’s why I took up a supernatural movie. The script was amazing and I fell in love with the story. I can’t talk about it too much but it is very spooky,” she adds.

Diana has also tapped into the writer in her. Having completed a book on self grooming, her eyes light up the minute she is asked about it. “For years now, I have been giving lectures on grooming and most of my students used to push me to write a book. It took me three years and I have finally completed it and will be launching it in March,” she gleams.

The book, she says, is an extension of herself. While most celebrities have ghostwriters working on their books, Diana made sure that every word of her book was written by her.

“I wanted my soul in there and I am happy I did it without anyone’s help. Apart from grooming tips, I have also narrated a couple of incidents of my life both during the Miss World and Bigg Boss phase,” she adds.

Having been a part of Bigg Boss during the second season, Diana feels she changed a lot after her experiences on the show. Not only did she discover her culinary skills but she also realised how she could live with just the basic necessities. But given a chance, would she ever return to the house? “Never. I enjoyed my stint in Bigg Boss but I don’t think I would like to go in again,” she adds.

Though she lived in Bangalore only for three years, Diana still considers herself as Bangalorean. “The place has a kind of magic that makes one immediately connect to it. I wish I could visit the City more often but I am just tied up with work,” she says. As for the future, Diana wants to take things slowly. “I have too much on my plate right now and don’t think I would like to take on any other project till I complete these. I am in no hurry so I would rather take just one thing at a time,” she signs off.
