Priyanka Upendra recently made a comeback in Kannada films with Srimati opposite hubby Upendra. Now the actress is all set to make her comeback in Bollywood as well.

After doing films like Bada Din, Sautele and Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao, Priyanka will soon be seen in Enemmy directed by Ashuu Trikha, opposite Suniel Shetty.

The excited actress tells Metrolife that the experience of shooting for Enemmy has been an enriching and a special one. “I have known Suniel Shetty for a long time and he is a good friend of Uppi (Upendra) as well, so it’s like working with family. Suniel and I were suppose to act together long time ago but things didn’t work out, so when this movie was offered to me, I really liked the script and decided to take it up,” says Priyanka.

The actress says that she is playing the role of a Maharashtrian wife. “It’s not a typical commercial movie. In fact, the film is a hard-hitting story that revolves around four cops,” says Priyanka, who recently wrapped up shooting at Ramoji Studios.

So is she back to acting full time? Says Priyanka, “I have never been away from films. I just took long breaks in between projects, and I also did many Bengali movies.

As for Enemmy, it is after a very long time that I have done a Hindi film. Taking up Bollywood projects gets difficult because of all the travelling. Family is still my priority and I can’t leave behind my kids for too long,” she states.

As for doing any Kannada movie, Priyanka is in talks with Ravichandran. The pair was last seen in Malla and had a sizzling chemistry on screen. “By the time Malla released, I had got married, and Ravi sir and I have never worked together after that. I am yet to decide whether I will take up this project or not, so I can’t talk too much about it,” she says.

What does her husband have to say about her getting back into the groove? “Uppi is not really interested in my work and neither am I in his. When we are together, we rarely talk about work. We give each other space and try not to mix our professional and personal lives,” sums up Priyanka.
